The story behind the speaker

Connection wasn't the subject.
It was the way through.

Six chapters. One throughline: the courage to be seen, hear people fully, and create opportunity through genuine human connection.

Chapter 01

Let's talk about it.

The kitchen table. The conversations. The lessons passed down without anyone realizing it. My dad worked in a factory. My mom was a hairdresser. And in our Italian-American family, talking things out was simply what we did. Broadway felt a world away from that kitchen table. But somewhere along the way, I learned something that would shape my entire life: Connection starts with having the courage to use your voice.

Chapter 02

While others competed, I connected.

The audition years — cheering for the women beside me, making conversation, pointing out what was great in others. Connection became the skill that carried me.

Chapter 03

Broadway, then Hollywood.

Three national tours, five Broadway musicals, and the call that changed everything: Mary Delgado in Clint Eastwood's Jersey Boys film.

Chapter 04

The reinvention.

After years on stage and screen, I knew I was ready to activate another part of who I was. I began studying communication, building a business, and turning everything I had learned about connection into something I could teach. Then came Becoming a Master Communicator, co-hosting Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi's World Summit, and a whole new chapter built around Human Connection.

Chapter 05

Imperfect action.

I didn't have the full map. I just kept taking the next step, even when I was scared or unsure. Confidence didn't come first. Action did.

Chapter 06

The mission.

Life is too precious to leave what matters unsaid. That's why my mission is to ignite leaders and teams to use their voice and communicate authentically and confidently, creating what technology never can: genuine Human Connection. Because when people truly connect, they build greater trust, stronger relationships, and more meaningful opportunities.

Renée Marino speaking with her arms open to an audience
I realized on Broadway that standing ovations didn't come from the perfect performance. They came from reaching audiences on a deeply human level, through story, presence, and emotion. And I believe the same is true in life and business.Renée Marino

The mission

One hundred million people, reconnected.

My mission is to ignite a global movement of 100 million people by 2035 to reconnect with themselves and others so they live happier, more fulfilling lives.
